WE LOST!
No, we really haven't lost yet...we have super Tuesday. If we don't win some there, then we are really done.
Today we did a ton of canvassing and phone banking. We kept trying to remind people to get out and vote. We were also calling them to see if they needed a ride to the polls because of the weather.
I was a comfort captain today. That means that I got to drive around in a warm Toyota 4-Runner to all of the wards (polling places) handing out hot chocolate, coffee, tea and hand warmers. I had a really good day, I'm super bummed about Dean losing. I'm looking forward to getting home tomorrow, I'm just a bit worried about the weather because they are expecting a bad snow storm.

1 day till the Primary.
It really has felt like we have been at war for the last week. I'm so sick of CNN, C-Span and Fox News!
We got to see Dean again today, we were doing viz on the corner of Elm and Bridge. He drove up with his wife, Judy Dean on the rockstar bus. He had Dunken Doughnuts for us. My parents saw me on NBC nightly news because of this event!
After we did Viz, we went to the Palace theater and listened to him speak. It was a question and answer session. Martin Sheen from the West Wing opened for him. :) It was great until some of the LaRouche people stormed in and started screaming. That was quite scary.
Oh, I almost forgot to write...I met Chris Wallace from Fox news today. He was kinda stuffy and not what I expected. It was still cool to talk to someone from the media.
* I have lost 5 pounds since we got here. Mom, we are so going to Athenian Gardens when I get home.

Today was like yesterday, our group did phone banking and canvassing. We have been distributing a ton of the Primetime interview video tapes. I know I haven't mentioned all of the Iowa stuff in my blogs, I probablly should have, however, I'm in such shock and disgust over what the media has made out of Dean's rad, inspiring rally yell. It is really sad and sorry that we ( Dean volunteers) have to be out defending his character instead of getting his policy out there. It has been a week of Dean bashing; all the other campaigns have been so smug about it. But anyway, I don't care to go there. We need a strong Democrate to beat W and we all know it is Dean. The Democrats and the media have shot themseleves in the foot with what they have done to Dean. It's not the people who decide, it is the media and that is wrong and needs to change.
2 days to the Primary...all we want to do is come in 2nd after what happened in Iowa on Monday.

Today was B-O-R-I-N-G! All we did was phone banking!!! My least favorite part of working on the campaign. I feel so uncomfortable calling people. I'm lucky--the people I have called have been really friendly. Many of my friends have gotten some really nasty, rude people.
The best part of the day was doing lit. drops with Brandon and Joe...it's so nice to be out of the stinky office. I'm turning in early tonight...I need to sleep or I'm going to drop...

It's Friday all ready!
Today was the best day so far, infact, I'm not sure that anything else on this trip could be better. Six of us got to ride around on Dean's rock star tour bus all day. We followed him around the state doing viz for him. Today I got my picture taken with him. All I have to say is, he freaking rocks!!!! I felt really bad though because my friend Brandon took a picture of me with Dean before he got his own picture with Dean, and because of this he ended up not getting one. I don't even know what to say to him, except that I feel that he will win the lottery or something because of his random act of kindness towards me- Karma baby. :)
We are offically the Frozen Floridans 4 Dean.
Oh you know that canvassing I have been complaining about having to do, yep well....I have been the queen of canvassing and viz. It's so funny because when we first got up here to New Hampshire all of the people kept telling us to stop acting like babies--it wasn't really that cold. What were we thinking, it was 15! We really hated hearing that but actually, now that we have been up here a week we can feel a difference in the weather when it gets up to 15 from 4 it feels warmer. :) It actually has to warm up to snow. That's crazy.
I have so much respect for all of the interns and Dean volunteers after spending the last week with them. This is one dedicated group of people. I think that we are giving long hours to the campaign, yea right. These people get to the office by 8am and stay till 12-1 in the morning.
One last thing, the food at the office has been great...I was expecting pizza everyday. Not the case, we have had veggie wraps, yougurt and ben and Jerrys ice cream.

It has been two days since I have made an entry...I am so tired! All I can think, sleep, eat and drink is the Gov. Dean campaigin!!! I was able to see him speak yesterday at the Manchester campagin office, all I have to say is rad! He was amazing, very motivating. I have also seen Gen. Wesley Clark speak; I was so not impressed with him. He didn't discuss any of his policies, and has no plan of action to help get this country back on the right track. For example, he wants to create new jobs and vows that he will if elected President, however, he can't come up with how he would do that. Gov. Dean on the other hand laid everything out for us yesterday. When I come back tonight I will post some of what the Gov. talked about yesterday that motivated me in taking the step to take back our country.

It feels like GROUNDHOG DAY!!!!!!!
Today was kewl...we found out that we will be moving to the Manchester "Manch" office tomorrow. This is going to be great because this is the New Hampshire headquarters for the Dean campaign. What's even better is that Governor Dean will be speaking tomorrow at 9:30am. We were so bummed yesterday that we wouldn't get to see him and now everything is better. All I have to say is thank-you Dr. McLaughlin!!!!!

We didn't do much today, just more grunt work. Phone banking, and viz. I'm assuming that I will be doing canvassing before I leave; I have been reallly lucky that I haven't had to do it yet. FYI-- Canvassing is when you go door-to-door with your candidates literature. I forgot to mention that it takes 3-4 hours to go to the 55+ houses on your list and that your dropped off in the middle of nowhere in frigid artic weather. :) Hey, whatever it takes to get Dean elected right? I saw this awesome picture of Dean, and below it someone had written "when you think it's top cold to go back out and canvass, think of this face!" hahahahahaha. I'm going to sleep now....
